MPS Health Care is seeking an experienced and confident Home Manager for a purpose-built, premium 70-bed nursing and residential care home situated in Cardiff. This highly rated home currently operates at approximately 94% occupancy and boasts a stable workforce, outstanding regulatory ratings, and a well-established reputation within the community. The successful candidate will inherit a well-functioning, thriving operation and will be responsible for maintaining and further developing its existing strengths. Your primary focus will be ensuring a smooth leadership transition, sustaining high standards of care, and upholding the home's positive culture. You will oversee the quality of care, operational performance, team development, and occupancy targets, working collaboratively with your leadership team to ensure continued success and sustainability without compromising care standards or the resident experience.
- Previous care-home management experience within a home of similar size and complexity
- Strong track record of maintaining and improving quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Proven success in developing high-performing, motivated teams
- Experience in driving occupancy and commercial performance
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (nursing qualification is not essential)
- Supportive, authentic, visible, and accountable leadership style
- Ability to protect existing strengths while identifying opportunities for improvement
This role offers an attractive salary of £80,000 per annum, with the potential to earn an additional 40% of salary through an annual bonus.
